Quilters hands are always needed! All are welcome to join us every first and third Monday of the month 10:00 AM
Quilts are assembled according to Lutheran World Relief specs, displayed, blessed and then shipped to countries all around the world, where they are used for warmth, privacy walls, rugs, etc.
These beautiful handmade quilts will be going to Lutheran World Relief and will be distributed around the world where needed.
Quilt presented to Missionaries in Kenya
This beautiful quilt was sent to our Miissionaries in Kenya Julia & Vincent Leiyoole in October 2024. It took nearly 3 months to reach them but it finally arrived. It will be given to a the person God shows them as the recipient. The Post Office lady was so moved by the gesture she said there would be no custom or duty fees charged.
Greetings Pastor Connie,
We send fond greetings to all our CLC family, and want to share the story of gifting the quilt made by CLC quilters.
About 10 days ago, the family of Vincent’s elder brother lost their home to a devastating fire. It was a Samburu style home and they lost everything they owned except a metal storage box. The brother lives and works in Nairobi, the mother was lost to cancer two years ago, so the older children care daily life, with our help. We praise God no one was injured! God opened the hearts and hands of the local women, and together with them, a new home was provided. We still are getting supplies, but the first thing the little boys received was their CLC quilt….they told us “we didn’t even have a cloth or blanket left and Jesus brought us one.”
I hope it is ok we gave it to family members, but it felt right to us. The two Down syndrome boys had been terrified after the fire , but that quilt made them so happy, as you can see by the photos.
Please share the story so everyone can see how their love of Jesus touched a family’s life during a difficult time.
Gods peace and blessings,
Julia and Vincent

Jesus Film Video Players - Arsim Kenya
Sharing the Word with the people of Kenya - God's Plan
At the beginning of Lent 2022, CLC adopted the Jesus Film Ministry as our Lenten Discipline. CLC dreamed of being able to support the Samburu people of Arsim Kenya by purchasing 100 audio devices so the people can hear the Word of God in their own language. For most, this would be a first.
During Lent, we heard stories of the ministry of Vincent and Julia Leiyoole and how the Jesus FIlm and the devices have created disciples of Christ. We heard stories of Sahara, Ltapukan, and Ntoiponin in Arsim, Kenya, whose lives have been changed by hearing the Word of God. We heard stories of the trip to Kenya by CLC members in 2018 and how it proved to be life changing.
And we prayed that CLC would be able to support this ministry. We give God thanks for the generosity of all in our Christ Lutheran family who made possible a gift of 130 audio devices.
The Word of God can now be a lamp unto the Samburu feet and a light unto their path. Thanks be to God!
Installing security solar flood lights, more new beds, paint etc in the dorms, taking care of sick animals etc, a new roof on the school bathrooms, helping a church member with new goats after all hers were eaten by hyenas, and of course identifying snakes.
We praise God for the youth of the Arsim Lutheran church. They are electing a new board and organizing evangelistic efforts. They will volunteer their labor to help build a new ‘kitchen’ for the church. We will provide the materials, as God provides. The area they used to cook is ravaged by time, storm damage and termites. Pray for this work....every Lutheran church needs a kitchen
